Hello everyone :)
I have great news... I'M FINALLY FINISHED WITH FINALS! And it literally feels like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can finally breathe again xD
I'm going to celebrate tonight with untracked FroYo with my boyfriend. It's kind of a late birthday gift because It's hard to celebrate when your birthday falls on finals week. I can't wait to celebrate tonight and later on in the week with my mom. Tomorrow's also the last Friday of the month so it's my boyfriend and I's pint night too. Treats for days over here.
Anyways, onto the blog topic. The Food Police on Instagram. I'm bringing this up because I know a lot of my followers are recovering from ED's and are SUPER into macros and fitness. I just wanted to reach out to you guys and address a few things.
1) Don't EVER feel guilty for eating what you want to eat and eating what you're craving.
If you want a kale salad, eat a kale salad. I you want to finish your macros off with fruits and veggies, eat that. If you want to macrocap with sweet and treats, eat that too. Everything in moderation, just like everything else in life. If you're not weight restored yet, the last thing you need to worry about is macros. Even though you should try to find balance with your eating habits for healthy weight gain, don't worry about the sugar, carbs, fat, or anything else. Focus on having a healthy relationship with your food, cravings, and finding balance.
2) YOU know what your needs are, NO ONE else does.
The food police don't know how hard you work. The food police don't know how much cardio you do, how many reps you do, or how much you move through out your day. The food police don't know your weight, height, or BMI. And most importantly, the food police don't know you, your story, or where you're coming from. So when people ask: "Why do you eat so much sugar?" or tell you "You're eating SO unhealthy!" DON'T LISTEN. People who are into fitness usually eat healthy 80 percent of the time anyways, and the other 20 percent goes into living your life. And people recovering from ED'S used to be or still are afraid of certain foods. Fear foods are a heard thing to overcome, and NOBODY should bring you down for overcoming a fear and re-gaining trust in your body, mind, and relationship with food. Plus, everybody is different, so the foods people eat all depend on the person anyways. No one is the same.
3) When you see the food police, stand up for yourself.
Don't let people push you around for overcoming your fears. Don't let people judge you when they don't know you, your story, or your mental and physical needs. And don't let anyone feel bad for recovering, macrocapping with food you want, or tell you that you are unhealthy and insult you. You tell them how you feel and continue you to do you. Remember balance in your life is key. Don't let the food police throw your balance off or create more stress in your life.
In the end, the only person that know your body, your health, and has the only opinion that matters is YOU. And YOU are beautiful/handsome, strong, and are worth more then to be defined by your eating habits, weight, or looks. Spread the love, not the hate. Enjoy your food and don't let people take your happiness away from you.

Sorry, not sorry I'm healthy enough, fit enough ,and have a healthy enough mindset to eat this and you can't, Food Police XD
